I assume this training includes a crash course in aesthetics so the officers will be able to judge the aesthetic value of a retiree taking a picture of his wife standing on the plaque that marks the convergence of four states."

You absolutely kill me and I intend this as a compliment. Unfortunately, you are correct. We've been watching with unease (here in the state of Colorado) the ramp-up to the final realization of the DNC. The "freedom cages" are ready and waiting ... I intend to go and take photographs, maybe even some notes... We'll see what happens.

By the way, you mentioned that the powers that be consider artists (and poets) ineffectual. I wonder if you'd care to weigh in on recent developments concerning "intelligence gathering" at art venues, large and small, hinting of the smell of dissent? Why do you suppose the police or the FBI would take it upon themselves to intimidate artists and curators? It would be an interesting addition to your blog … any thoughts?

Best,
KarenAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5669238942080921290.post-67153142944214138502008-07-07T13:16:00.000-07:002008-07-07T13:16:00.000-07:00Too late!Too late!Case Wagenvoordhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10598177456573356261noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5669238942080921290.post-89292127897236396572008-07-07T12:30:00.000-07:002008-07-07T12:30:00.000-07:00Oh drat!
